Description
The 337C Abbitz is a 3-inch Differential Pressure Indicator designed to measure liquid flow through pipelines, liquid levels within pressurized vessels, or differential pressure across primary devices such as orifice plates, venturi tubes, or flow tubes. In flow measurement applications, the 337C Abbitz is connected to the low- and high-pressure sides of a primary differential pressure element installed in the process run. In liquid level measurement applications, the instrument monitors changes in hydrostatic pressure caused by variations in liquid height within a vessel.
DPI Inc. also provides service and repair for legacy ITT Barton Model 226 and 226A instruments.
The 337C Abbitz Differential Pressure Indicator consists of two major components: an actuating Differential Pressure Unit (DPU) and a case-enclosed indicating instrument. The indicator features a 3-inch dial with a pointer that traverses a nominal 270-degree arc to measure differential pressure, flow, or liquid level. The movement includes a micrometer screw for range adjustment. Zero adjustment is accomplished by slipping the pointer on the hub without removing the scale plate or pointer. Linearity adjustments are accessible after removal of the scale plate. The 337C Abbitz is actuated by a Model 224 Differential Pressure Unit (DPU).
